Descripción

In Linaro Automated Validation Architecture (LAVA) before 2022.11.1, remote code execution can be achieved through user-submitted Jinja2 template. The REST API endpoint for validating device configuration files in lava-server loads input as a Jinja2 template in a way that can be used to trigger remote code execution in the LAVA server.

Cuando Trivy califica esta vulnerabilidad como crítica para la fuente de paquetes de la image, aparece por su nombre en los findings de la image. Los findings sin corrección quedan fuera salvo que includeUnfixed esté activado.
AvisaUn evento critical_finding va a los canales suscritos a él: e-mail, Slack, Teams, un webhook, Jira, GitLab o GitHub.
RechazaCon una policy que bloquea los findings críticos, un pod con esta image se rechaza en la admission, incluido un rollback a ella. Los pods que ya están en marcha no se desalojan.
RegistraCada decisión se guarda con la policy que se aplicó y su hash, y se sella bajo un checkpoint firmado.
