Descripción

Multiple off-by-one vulnerabilities in Ethereal 0.9.11 and earlier allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via the (1) AIM, (2) GIOP Gryphon, (3) OSPF, (4) PPTP, (5) Quake, (6) Quake2, (7) Quake3, (8) Rsync, (9) SMB, (10) SMPP, and (11) TSP dissectors, which do not properly use the tvb_get_nstringz and tvb_get_nstringz0 functions.

Cuando Trivy califica esta vulnerabilidad como crítica para la fuente de paquetes de la image, aparece por su nombre en los findings de la image. Los findings sin corrección quedan fuera salvo que includeUnfixed esté activado.
AvisaUn evento critical_finding va a los canales suscritos a él: e-mail, Slack, Teams, un webhook, Jira, GitLab o GitHub.
RechazaCon una policy que bloquea los findings críticos, un pod con esta image se rechaza en la admission, incluido un rollback a ella. Los pods que ya están en marcha no se desalojan.
RegistraCada decisión se guarda con la policy que se aplicó y su hash, y se sella bajo un checkpoint firmado.
